The team was part of the American League since it was first created in 1969 until the 1997 season when it became part of the National League.
The Milwaukee Brewers have achieved one Pennant and one Division title in 1982 but until today the team has not won any World Series titles.
One of the team’s best seasons was back in 1978 when the Brewers won 93 games and finished third behind the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.
A couple of years later during the 1980 season the Brewers had their first playoff appearance.
In the early 1980’s the Brewers had three league MVP players: Rollie Fingers, Robin Yount and Pete Vuckovich (won MVP for two positions – shortstop and center field).
More recently in 2001 the Brewers replaced the home ground at Miller Park for the new Milwaukee County Stadium. |
In 2005 the team finished with a record of 81-81 to secure its first non-losing record since 1992. Then during the 2007 season the Brewers finished with a record of 83-79 their best since 1992 just two games behind Chicago.
That same year Prince Fielder first baseman made history as the youngest Brewer player ever to reach the 50 home run mark in a single season.
