Poker Tournaments Information

This famous game has different ways to be played, it requires of a certain science and ability. The following are some of the different forms of poker tournaments:

1. Scheduled Tournaments and Sit-n-go:

Scheduled Tournaments
Scheduled tournaments are quite popular. They usually start on a specific hour. You can look for the schedule in the poker room you play in. It is required to sign up beforehand.

Sit-n-go
When there are enough players signed-in the game starts (the difference is that it is not scheduled). These tournaments are usually single-table (two tables-maximum). It is a good option to practice.

2. Satellites and regular tournaments
The main idea for this kind of tournament is for the player to take a part of a $50 satellite (for example) and if he/she wins, the prize will be a position or a seat at a $10.000 tournament.

3. Re-buy tournaments and freeze-outs
It means that game players can re-buy chips in the middle of the game and the exchange rate is even more profitable than at the beginning. It lasts the first few rounds and after that time this part of the tournament will freeze out. In other words, it gives the player the opportunity to buy additional chips and the chance to play more.

4. Single-table and multi-table tournaments

Single-table is played in one table; the player will need to accumulate all the chips and if he loses all of them, he will be eliminated. If someone wins all the chips, the tournament is over.

Multi-table tournaments: allows thousands of players to take part, as soon as players are eliminated, the rest move to the vacant seats. Then the game continues like in common single-table tournament.
