The Kansas City Wizards were founded in 1995 and only 5 years later in the year 2000 the team managed to win the Supporters Shield and the MLS Cup. And more recently in 2004 the Wizards won the US Open Cup.
During the last campaign in 2007 the team achieved a fourth place in the East Conference and made it to the semifinals. The club’s all time regular season record stands at 151-154-64.
Current Brazilian Coach Onalfo has been part of the team since the 2007 campaign; he has been part of the D.C. United as well as US National Team.
For the 2008 and 2009 seasons the Wizards play their home games at the Community America Ballpark which seats approximately 12,000 spectators. The team will proceed with the construction of a new facility by the 2010 season. |
